This evocative verse delves into the theme of hypocrisy, unmasking the deceitful personas that hide behind false virtue. Through vivid imagery and searing intensity, the anger poem confronts betrayals and injustices with unyielding resolve.
To the abyss with your sacrilege!
Do you presume my admiration can be swayed by the mere etchings upon the surface of your life’s tableau?
Still, I stand resolute on two feeble limbs,
Drawing breath amidst the constriction, enduring the tightening vice.
I shall not permit your disdain and spittle to diminish me.
Behold not the obsidian reflection within your mirror’s realm.
Your minor transgressions, inconspicuous to you,
Embolden finger-pointing and vociferous castigation.
In your eyes, the weight of sin justifies the striking of those you deem morally bereft,
Words of sanctity and opulence uttered
Yet salvation untouched, as souls teeter on the precipice.
Those souls, ceaselessly grappling, weeping to feel deserving of life.
For your tongue alone deems you virtuous in the world’s discerning eyes,
Your mere display of purity tarnishes those who differ.
Curse… cast away your discourse!
Let their disdainful glares befall a wretch such as I,
Whip my frigid, slender back with the lash of curses.
Antagonize, shun, and label me a contagious scourge.
Yet, I comprehend my identity,
Grasping the loftiness of my pride amidst curses like yours
I shall not evade the weight of my transgressions, nor the world’s judgment upon me.
I shall not turn from wounded spirits, whose lamentation remains veiled in silence.
I persist, standing tall in silhouette, raising my shadowed crown.
To the underworld with your eloquence!
To the abyss with your accusatory digits!
Only the cherished shall discern the hues within my soul someday,
Exempt from your ilk and the multitude of spurious humanity.
Once more, to the depths with you!
In front of your gaze, I shall endure and thrive!
